Throwback - Paint with water books

Paint with Water books were brilliant - they allowed anyone with basic motor skills to exhibit (a modicum of) artistic talent.

The colors would magically appear in the appropriate place when you used a wet paintbrush across the pages. The trick, however, was not to oversaturate the paper - lest it dry all wrinkly, like the back of an octogenarian's hands.

I think that this could very possibly be how Thomas Kinkade still paints...

What fine jewels should I wear to the gala? My haute couture gown requires stunning accessories, something with that extra special flair... 


Ah-hah! I have the perfect solution... Jewelry constructed from human teeth! It is practically a guarantee that nobody will have on the exact same outfit, unless a tribe of cannibals is also invited to the event.

Retail Therapy - Two-finger rings

I am currently smitten with two-finger rings... the bird versions below are particularly compelling to me, though I am notoriously not a fan of birds.

I really think that I may need one of these... or maybe the name version, with my first name in script (not Melissa) - it's like having chic, personalized brass knuckles.
