If the Shoe Fits, Buy It! Betsey Johnson Calandra pump
I might have moseyed on over to the shoe store during my lunch break last week, only to discover that these Betsey Johnson Calandra pumps happened to be on sale, and that the only pair left was in my size.
Now, what is a girl to do when faced with such a situation? It is obvious, considering that the Faux Paw motto is "if the shoe fits, buy it!" I am most excited about the sumptuous bow, and cannot wait to sport my spanking new beribboned heels. Ahh, I love good shopping karma.

Feed Me Now! Kafe Yen
Kafe Yen
Location: Pacific Beach
Prices: Inexpensive
Good for: Quiet dinner
Pros: Extensive selection of authentic Thai dishes, plus some extra Asian options like Vietnamese pho.
Cons: They do not serve beer, wine, or liquor, so avoid Kafe Yen if you need a glass of wine after a tough day at work.
Ratings and Recommendations:
9/10 - Crab rangoon - fried wontons stuffed with imitation crab meat, cream cheese and herbs. I adore crab rangoon, and order it any chance I get. Kafe Yen's version was definitely one of the tastiest I have had the opportunity to munch on! The crab mixture was very creamy and well seasoned, and the wontons were hot and crispy. I know crab rangoon is not complicated to make, but it so often tastes just average - and this version was delicious.
5/10 - Spinach gyoza - pan fried pot stickers filled with creamy spinach, served with soy sauce. I had really high hopes for this dish, because I love pan fried gyoza but usually can't eat it now that I have gone vegetarian. I thought that spinach gyoza would be the perfect solution, but the spinach filling was clumpy and bland, with a watery greens flavor rather than a rich creamy take on spinach. The gyoza were also not crispy enough for my liking. Meh.
8/10 - Vegetarian pad see ew - stir fried wide rice noodles with egg, Chinese broccoli, and steamed tofu in a sweet soy sauce. Thai noodle dishes are among my favorites, and pad see ew is no exception. This was a tasty version filled with a variety of vegetables and your choice of protein. The wide noodles were slightly overcooked and thus a little too soft, but the overall flavor was very pleasing. I would definitely order it again.
Notes: This is a teeny restaurant, so you can expect it to get crowded during normal dinner hours. Since PB parking is often at a premium, note that you can park for free in the Smart & Final parking lot that is just around the corner from the restaurant.

Throwback - Squeezit
As a child I would try to beg, plead, cajole, bribe, and charm my way into getting a 6-pack of Squeezits... kind of like how I still try to beg, plead, cajole, bribe, and charm my way into getting 6-packs. Hmm.
There was just something special about the Squeezit that made it a drink far superior to a juice box, or even the popular Capri Sun. Mere words on a silly little blog could never accurately capture the childhood joy of twisting off the Squeezit's plastic top and squeezing a blast of brightly-colored sugar water into your mouth.
Unfortunately, Squeezits were discontinued in 2001, obviously as part of some sick master plan designed to rid the world of happiness. If only they still existed, I would implore General Mills to make a cocktail version... I would bestow upon them the name "Booze-Its" (muuuhahaha - alcholic Booze-Its are hereby copyrighted by The Faux Paw Blog, 2009 - don't even think about stealing my genius, b*tches. I know lawyers. Lots and lots of lawyers.)

WTF? Hair hats
I have heard of hats with hair attached - generally they are rather ugly, but at least they serve a purpose for people with hair loss they wish to disguise. However, hats made of hair are an entirely different story...
Nagi Noda was a Japanese designer with perhaps a little too much time... and hair... on her hands. Take a look at her collection of superbly crafted, if strange, hair hats:
However snarky I may sound, I cannot tell a lie - I am kind of smitten with the elephant hair hat. A shiny rojo elephant perched jauntily atop my head? That would absolutely work for me.

Monday... ah yes, the beginning of the week arrives again...
Now that the weekend is over, it is time to get your booty back in the workout routine. This week, I have decided to provide you with a little workout motivation. Pick your favorite!
For the lovely ladies who wish to tone their tushes and whittle their waists, here is some feminine inspiration:
For the macho men who hope to pump their pecs and bulk their biceps, check out these manly specimens:
If you also wish to clothe your bulging muscles like these chic iron-pumpers do, a rhinstone-licious outfit like this one will only set you back about $1,200... though I could whip one up for you with my bedazzler and a Frederick's of Hollywood teddy for the low, low price of $395. Hit me up.

Retail Therapy - Arden B Moto Jacket
I want to buy this jacket, wear it with skinny jeans and high heels, and hop on the back of a hog for a ride down PCH. And possibly stop at Sprinkles Cupcakes in Newport. Because leather and cupcakes just go together.
