If the Shoe Fits, Buy It! LAMB Tansy pump
While these are surprisingly subdued shoes for Gwen Stefani's LAMB line, they are the perfect neutral pumps! I love the peeptoe and the seaming, and the camel color would go with just about anything. I might just have to look into purchasing these Tansy heels...

Feed Me Now! Good Stuff Eatery
Good Stuff Eatery
Location: Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C.
Prices: Inexpensive
Good for: Lunch
Pros: Amazing selection of burgers, and super condiment bar with a variety of fry dipping sauces.
Cons: This place was crazy crowded - not the place to head if you are trying to grab a super quick bite between meetings.
Ratings and Recommendations:
10/10 - Vegetarians are People Too 'Shroom Burger - organic portobello tops stuffed with Muenster and cheddar cheeses, breaded with panko crumbs, and topped with tomato, lettuce, and good stuff sauce. This was just about the most unique mushroom burger I have ever tasted. The breading made for a very crispy coating around the tender portobello tops. The flavor was exceptional. My only complaint is that the cheeses stuffed within the mushroom tops were molten hot and oozed out like a wicked lava flow in my mouth. Ouch!
8/10 - Village fries - French fries topped with fresh thyme, rosemary and black pepper. These were mighty tasty, though not quite as crispy as I like my fries. They were fantastic with the Old Bay dipping sauce!
Notes: I made a huge mistake. I did not order the Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake. I heartily regret this lapse in judgment, and continue to beat myself up about it. Also, I met Spike Mendelsohn from Top Chef Chicago, who is a co-owner of Good Stuff Eatery. I got a fist-pump and a "right on" when I complimented his restaurant. It was not quite the brush with fame I expected from a visit to D.C. (I was hoping for Joe Biden), but it was good enough for me!

Throwback - Brannock device
Does anyone remember shoe shopping back in the olden days? Then I am positive that you remember the Brannock Device, though you may not have known it had such a fancy name. As a child I loved sitting in a vinyl chair in the shoe department, beckoning salesmen to kneel at my feet and serve me. Hmm... upon further consideration, I find that I still love that :)
The Brannock Device would accurately determine your shoe size, as well as your shoe width if you had wide or extra-thin feet. It was extra awesome because you could just flip it around to check out the sizing of your other foot - no additional Brannock Device needed! Now that is a well-designed device, in my humble opinion. Does anyone know if they still use these? I haven't seen a Brannock Device in ages.

WTF? Brazilian jeans
Now, do you ever have the urge to skip the old underoos, but still ensure that the public considers your nether regions to be appropriately clothed? Yes? (I thought so, you hussy.) Well, check out these hot pants!
These babies actually have the underwear built right in, so you can go commando but still look like you are wearing underwear. Embellished denim underwear, at that. It's almost like they were designed by denim angels.
Now, please note that these Sanna jeans are called the "Brazilian Jeans," presumably because a Brazilian wax should be a mandatory prerequisite before you wear them in public.
Many, many thanks to my ever fabulous Queso Suizo expatriate amiga for alerting me to this discovery!

TFPB does NYC
10 things I saw in NYC:
- a big ass rat
- Conan the Barbarian
- the world's largest cannoli shells
- a drunk old woman hula-hooping in a restaurant
- the back room of a Canal Street shop
- Utz barrels
- the tiniest breakfast burrito ever conceived
- a chubby cop with a tiny Prius
- an empty bottle of Grey Goose in the gutter
- the money I could have saved with Geico

This stunning ring by Pianegonda features a rounded cut of smoky quartz set in sterling silver. While it is definitely out of my price range, a girl can dream, can't she?
