Throwback - Lanyards!

Listen, I hate to be crude, but... lanyards kick ass!

Anyone who was anyone made lanyards at summer camp. If you were uber-talented, as I was, you could make the traditional block pattern, the swirly pattern, and many titillating combinations of the two.
The Arts & Crafts cabin was the scene of many heated debates over the ideal lanyard color scheme: Teal and purple? Neon orange and green? Your middle school colors? Colors to match your L.A. Gear shoes?
Things only got more exciting when the glow-in-the-dark plastic lacing was introduced. "A glow-in-the-dark lanyard?!" thought my sixth grade self. "Am I in heaven, or what?!" Too bad sixth graders today are too busy trying to make out with the Jonas Brothers to experience the joy that is a perfectly crafted lanyard.
